↕️ Size limits and minimums

UWritten by Unifold Support·

Routing a deposit costs gas and, when conversion is needed, liquidity. Minimums exist so a transfer can finish instead of stalling with an unpayable remainder.

Minimums

The widget prints a minimum for the token and network you selected. Treat that number as binding.

As a rule of thumb, floors are lower on L2s and Solana than on Ethereum, and Bitcoin on-chain sits higher still because of fee variance. Exact USD values change with gas and FX; do not rely on a screenshot from last month.

Below the minimum

On the deposit-address flow, funds remain at the address until you send enough additional units of the same token on the same network to cross the floor. They are not taken as a fee and they are not forwarded early.

Do not “top up” with a different token or a different chain. That creates a second unsupported or under-minimum balance.

Maximums

Unifold does not set a general ceiling on standard wallet or deposit-address transfers. Practical limits come from:

  • Your exchange’s withdrawal cap
  • Liquidity available on the route (very large size may be split and take longer)

See How deposits are completed.

Checkout amounts

Checkout is a quoted size. If the quote fails because the amount is too small to cover gas, raise the payment or switch to a cheaper source network.

Need the number for your send?

Open the widget and read the minimum on the pair you selected. If that field is missing or looks wrong, contact us with a screenshot and the app name.

Still need a person?

If this guide did not clear it up, send the team a request with your transaction details.
